Prohibited Activities

BARION DOESN'T PROVIDE ANY SERVICES TO TRANSACTIONS RELATED TO THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS OR SERVICES:

• Counterfeit or stolen products, illegal services

  • We do not allow the sale of any products or services in violation of a third party's rights (e.g., fake currency, tickets, smuggled goods, and goods in violation of export, import or labeling restrictions).

    Merchants are solely and completely responsible for verifying that all items sold by them are authentic and legal in all applicable jurisdictions.

• Unauthorized copyrighted material

  • Examples include: copies of books, music, movies, and other licensed or protected materials, including copies without proper attribution, and unauthorized copies of software, video games, and other licensed or protected materials, including OEM, or bundled software.

    Merchants are solely and completely responsible for ensuring that they have all appropriate licenses or authorizations for the sale of copyrighted material.

• Hate Propaganda

  • Any transactions of products and services that promote violence, or incite hatred against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, * sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or any other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization.
  • Terrorist organizations
  • Any transactions or provision of products and services by terrorist organisations, or to include any content related to terrorism, such as content that promotes terrorist acts, incites violence, or celebrates terrorist attacks.

• Child Abuse

  Any product or service which promotes underage, non-consensual, or other illegal sexual themes, content that sexualizes minors or appeals to children but contains adult themes.

• Adult products and services

  This includes but is not limited to:

  • porn sites,
  • prostitution,
  • escort or companionship services,
  • dating services.

• Financial services

  Unless you hold a relevant license from a competent financial sector national authority – after complete due diligence.

We also prohibit the provision of the following products or services:

• Fortune telling, astrology services, tarot card reading, mystical activities
• Cryptocurrency-related products and services (including ICO/IEO pre-sales, storage wallets, or trading information)
• Binary options or synonymous complex speculative financial products
• Forex / Security brokers
• Provision of training or signals for the trading of cryptocurrencies or complex speculative financial products, e.g., trading signals, tips, speculative trading information, affiliate sites containing related content or broker reviews
• Personal loans
• Multi-level marketing or “get-rich-quick” schemes and businesses
• Transactions where a second payment transaction is conducted in order to complete the first transaction or where there is a substitute merchant of record in a transaction (e.g. digital wallets)
• Crowdfunding
• Debt collection agencies
• Unlawful or illegitimate fundraising activities (e.g. investment products, unregistered charities)
• Insurance
• Wholesale precious metals, gold bullion for investment purposes
• Tax advice services

• Health-related products and services

  • Unlicensed drugs, nutritional supplements (e.g. CBD, HHC, kratom)
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Miracle cure products, vitamins and supplements marketed as “magic pills”
  • Speculative and/or experimental medical treatments, e.g., stem cell therapy, cellular (non-stem) therapy, gene therapy and similar forms of regenerative medicine, platelet rich plasma, biohacking, do-it-yourself (DIY) genetic engineering products, and gene therapy kits
  • Tobacco and smoking, e.g., cigars, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and other tobacco products, vaping or e-liquid products, regardless of whether they contain nicotine or not.

• Products or services enabling dishonest behavior

  Any products or services that are fraudulent, deceptive or designed to enable dishonest behavior.

  Examples include:

  • direct- and telemarketing,
  • timeshares,
  • life memberships,
  • academic paper-writing and test-taking services,
  • devices or techniques for unlocking technical protection measures,
  • hacking and cracking materials,
  • spy products or services,
  • devices for circumventing traffic rules,
  • unauthorized ticket sellers,
  • scam websites,
  • second-hand car spares,
  • chain letters and cash gifting,
  • bidding fee auctions,
  • selling fake accounts;

  • fake reviews, fake ratings, backlinks and other manipulative marketing strategies in order to boost traffic etc.

    Other examples may include several activities in the travel industry, e.g. taxicabs.

    Precious stones and metals are also prohibited.

• Devices that are particularly dangerous to public safety / violent goods

  Includes any transactions for the sale or purchase of products that may cause damage, harm, or injury (e.g., guns and other weapons, explosives, ammunition).

• Gambling and any related services to sports betting (tips, memberships etc.)

  Unless for certain limited geographies and for restricted integration types. If the activity/service is not subject to authorization, please make a statement in this regard at the same * place (e.g., in case of organizing non-gambling games, attach the position of the competent authority stating that the organization is not a gambling organizer).

• Any product or service that poses a potential risk to our reputation.

Restricted Activities

THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES ARE RISKY AND DUE TO INDIVIDUAL APPROVAL, SO THEIR SCREENING IS SLOWER AND THE CHANCES FOR APPROVAL ARE LESS:

• Watch, Clock, Jewelry, Silverware Stores and Jewelry Repair
• Digital Goods, Applications, Games
• Stored Value - eWallets, Gift & Pre-paid cards, Gift Vouchers
• Computer Network Services
• Real Estate Agents Management and Renting
• Precious Stones and Metals
• Merchant Aggregators
• Charities
• Professional Sports Clubs
• Wholesale of Mobile Phones / Computer Parts
• Reputation Management Companies
• Alcohol
• Fireworks
• Furniture Sector
• Advertisement
• Multistakeholder models
• Travel agencies and travel booking services
• Motor racing

You should be prepared to submit additional documents, licenses and much more questions if you have any of these activities.
